Star Fest 2014

AUGUST 23^RD AND 24^TH 2014

CMR Star Fest 2014 was an enormously successful event adding a few thousands of attendees to the previous year’s event. The event featured a numerous vendors, artists- both Canadian and International, a very vibrant atmosphere and great family fun. This two day festival attracted reviews from the music industry in India; half way around the globe. Veteran singer from South India, Mano was a star attraction for the headline concert on Saturday. The headline show on Sunday featured ‘Benny Dayal and the Funktuation’, a first in Canada.

The main feature of the event CMR Star Search 2014 Grand Finale was yet again a grand success. This uniquely tough singing competition saw 6 winners who were awarded the highly sought opportunity to be featured in an exclusive music album produced, marketed and distributed by CMR. Their album will be launched at CMR Star Fest 2015.

Star Fest 2014 gave away 2 cars and a number of different valuable prizes through its entrance ticket raffle. CMR also donated $7,000 to Humber School of Media Studies as Awards for 3 deserving students. CMR also donated $3000 to the Regent Park School of Music in support of the school’s continued efforts to provide music education to students who couldn’t otherwise afford it.
